The Dog Lady has over a decade of dog training and dog behavior modification experience and founded her own company in 2004 in Sacramento California. The company was then relocated to Fayetteville North Carolina in 2009. The Dog Lady now serves clients in every part of the United States.

The organization doesn't just train dogs. It builds relationships between owners and their pets to create a bond that will last a lifetime.

This company is based on old fashioned values in combination with modern ideas about how to bring people and pets together for their mutual benefit. It works with and seeks out highly skilled professional dog trainers who are knowledgeable about many different breeds, temperaments, and training methods. The Dog Lady and her associates are members of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), International Assoc. of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), AKC Canine Good Citizenship evaluators, and Delta Society Pet Partners.

The Dog Lady has successfully trained everything from unruly adult pit bulls to shy, withdrawn puppies, and remains confident that just about any dog can be trained.

The Dog Lady works comfortably and confidently even with “problem dogs” who might be dismissed as “un-trainable dogs”. There are, of course, some dogs that simply are not trainable, but that is very rare. Most "un-trainable" dogs were labeled as such because other dog trainers were not willing to try different methods or take the time to rehabilitate the dog and use a reasonable dog training program to try to solve the dog’s behavior problems. On the other hand, The Dog Lady's dog behavior modification programs are different; she will do whatever it takes as long as it is humane and in the best interest of the dog, the dog’s human family, and the larger community.

"The Dog Lady"

If my grandfather were alive today he would be shocked to see how we dress our dogs in designer clothing and carry them around in handbags. But, I know he would be proud that I now spend all my time training dogs and helping pets adjust to this new way of life. I developed a bond early in life with my grandfather and his animals. Out of the bond with the animals and the lessons I learned from my grandfather, came my desire for understanding and solving dog obedience problems.

I have had a successful business career for over 25 years, more than a decade specific to professional dog training and dog behavior modification. By combining my business and dog training careers, I have founded a company that is socially responsible, community oriented and committed to the quality of service it provides. It is a resource for dog owners who need help with dog obedience problems and dog trainers who wish to make a difference in our industry with modern dog behavior consulting. The difference is in how you give the dog training lessons. I have developed a style that work for the modern pet owner; allowing them to happily keep their dogs in their home for the life of the dog.

Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer but in order to understand animal behavior modification one must never stop studying the subject with the understanding that you are not just training dog, you are educating dog owners. I earn my living by helping dog owners solve their dog obedience problems, not by exploiting them because of their problems. Years of working with dogs and dog people has shown me the difference pets make in our lives and the amazing things they can do.

I live with two dogs and a parrot who are my best friends. I cannot imagine what my life would be like without them. I think of this every time I work with someone else’s pet and I treat it as though it were my own.
