DOG TRAINING A-LA-CARTE

up your dog and found that he got smart while you were gone? It can happen!
Dog behavior modification sessions involving a professional dog trainer can be expensive and time consuming. Is that what’s stopping you from signing up your problem pet for dog obedience lessons? Well, The Dog Lady has designed an a la carte dog training program that trains your dog little by little, every time you board him at Kritter Kamp.
Select a dog behavior problem from our menu. Choose one canine behavior for a two-day stay, or choose one behavior for each day if your dog is here longer than two days. In addition to our dog obedience training, your dog will receive a free behavioral evaluation (which we call a canine profile), and you'll get a consultation when you pick up your dog, in addition to the written instructions you will need to keep practicing at home.
Every time your dog comes back to stay at Kritter Kamp our staff of experienced dog behavior consultants will know how your dog is supposed to behave, and for an extra $15.00 he can receive a 30 minute practice session.
Can a dog really learn a little at a time? YES; dogs learn very quickly. We, as professional dog trainers, will show you how. If you practice after you go home it will work. How hard can it be to have your dog practice “sit” between visits! Whether you do dog obedience training all at once, or a little at a time, IT WORKS. Soon your dog will run out of new obedience behaviors to learn and you will be asking us for more canine training sessions to teach him to “shake” and “roll over.”
Can you train any dog with the a la carte method? We can institute a dog behavior modification program to train a dog to practice new behaviors. Though some problem behaviors can be helped, most problem or neurotic dogs will need more consistency – some dog behavior problems need extra attention, such as canine aggression. Our Canine Profile (evaluation) will determine what type of instruction your dog needs.
What exactly is included in the training? Your dog will stay at Kritter Kamp. You will need to arrange your reservations and fees for the boarding according to Kritter Kamp’s schedule. Then call The Dog Lady and arrange training. She will start by conducting a “Canine Profile”. This is an evaluation of who we think your dog really is, what his temperament is like (is he basically gentle? Or does he display canine aggression?), and how we think he will respond to canine training. If we do not think he will respond then we do not train, but you will still receive the free evaluation.
What if I want to train my dog to learn all the obedience behaviors at once? We have the best doggie boot camp program around. Whether you train your dog a little at a time or all at once, The Dog Lady and Kritter Kamp have the right dog obedience training program for you.
